New Gym Membership, Digital Scale, and Multi-Vitamin
I signed up with a local gym in my hometown tonight (on my way out to dinner, no less). I didn’t stick around to exercise, I just paid my $99 for 3 months, had my picture taken, and left. My wife was waiting in the car.
The gym itself is small (it fits the town), but extremely well-equipped and looks fairly new. There are flat screen televisions in front of each cardio machine, with there being a total of 2 stationary bikes, 2 eliptical machines, and 5 treadmills. Weight machines are in the middle, one for each muscle group, and free weights are on the opposite wall.
Thankfully, each wall is completely covered by mirrors — always a good reminder as to why I’m in the gym.
Before I bought the gym membership, I picked up some multi-vitamins — I’ve never taken any before, doesn’t seem like a bad idea.
I also bought my digital scale today from eBay; paid $32, including shipping. It’ll arrive Tuesday. I really wanted to weigh myself sooner, but I decided to buy online and wait the extra few days — fear of buying a “plus size” scale in public, perhaps?
