I lost nearly 150 pounds by counting calories. I once weighed 344.2 pounds, now around 200. My story has been told on CNN, CBS, and Newsweek and will soon be in a book.

I hear you 100% on the water, but I admit, since I drink a bunch of it, it can be boring. I love the flavored water packets, and I do drink hot tea and coffee in moderation. For my tea and coffee, I use splenda or just a bit of sugar. I'm constantly on the lookout for all the newer 0 calorie flavored drinks, and I do love sparkling water. I've noticed that the carbonation in the sparkling water helps fill me up too. Just my two cents

Joey, I really appreciate your comment. However, I strongly disagree. There are many things to fear in life and water isn't one of them.

What would you suggest the public drink instead?

Be careful with all that water. Most water contains high levels of the deadly chemical dihydrogen monoxide. Check out the following website for more details on this killer compound.
