I lost nearly 150 pounds by counting calories. I once weighed 344.2 pounds, now around 200. My story has been told on CNN, CBS, and Newsweek and will soon be in a book.

TYLER! You're awesome. Really. I found your blog a few days ago from a forum on Calorie Count. I've been bigger my whole life too, bad genes, but I've always been healthy and active. I've tried Weight Watchers and it worked great, until my workout buddy decided to get gastric bypass, the cheater -_-

Anyways, I've been working out again and eating right since the beginning of this summer... And I hit a plateau a couple weeks ago... This blog made me get my ass to the gym and get on the elliptical for an hour today. My thighs were killing me, as were my lungs, but I felt amazing after.

I'm glad someone is losing weight the way it should be lost... It shows me it CAN be done. :)

Thank you <3

You're doing awesome! I really wish I had half the motivation that you do. I don't know you but I stumbled across this blog a couple of weeks ago and since then you've been my motivation to get to the gym and hop on a cardio machine. I decided to check back today to see how many more pounds you lost. I now have a subscription to your page :)

Good luck!

Great post!

I tell people not to wait for motivation. Waiting for motivation could mean still being just as fat and sedentary a year from now. You just do it because it's necessary, like taking showers or brushing teeth.

Huh. I never thought about it that way.... but you're so right. My motivation is always changing, but it needs to be a part of daily life, not just when I feel like it.
