I’ve found a new, quick lunch: KFC Grilled Chicken.

It’s good tasting chicken, tender and juicy — just like when I grill at home. The drumstick is 70 calories, while the breast is 180 calories. The corn/mash combined are 255 calories, making the meal just about 500 calories. The biscuit was another 55 180 calories, but I passed this time around.
It’s a cheap, relatively healthy fast food option at $3.99. Granted, I don’t know if that’s a promotion price, but I’d gladly pay a couple more dollars for the same meal. The world needs cheap, fast food options like this.
I do have a suggestion, though (because KFC execs read this blog, right?). I know the chicken has your “secret recipe,” so maybe it’s sacrilegous to suggest this, but I’d like to see more flavors introduced. Sure, it’ll add about 20 calories to the meal, but I’d like to be able to choose from teriakyi, cajun, barbeque, etc.
It might make grilled chicken more appealing to the masses, as well.

Oh Tyler…why do you have to tempt me sooo!!!! I have an addiction you see…to KFC….I once lied to my accountability person about the chicken I was eating in the moment he called to encourage me…If I stay away from teh palce I am good…but once I start, I cannot stop…so while this may be grilled and a far healthier version than what I would have had before…I cannot go there…..not now…maybe not ever….:-( I am glad it works for you though. Where did you get the calorie counts on this meal? The last time I checked calorie counts on one of their biscuits it was more like 180 calories….good thing you didn’t eat it!
hey Tyler, i was wondering how do you refrain yourself from getting a second or third meal ? do you feel full after eating just one or you’re strong enough not to indulge into something else ? i would like to know please
Drink water. Lots of water. It fills you up.
Not sure where you’re getting the calorie information, but that biscuit is more like 200 calories rather than 55.
A slice of whole wheat bread usually runs in the 50-60 range per slice, there’s no way a white flour biscuit with the butter they probably use in it would be less calories.
Gotta watch for those things, but luckily you passed on it anyway.
Good catch. That’s what you get for finding calorie information from the interwebs (well, that AND drinking while blogging).
Who knew that KFC makes non-fried chicken? (I mean, it is in the their name….) It’s good to know that they have that.
