There’s a good reason for this ridiculously large grin.

I haven’t been able to fit into a large shirt since middle school.
Granted, it’s snug, but it fits comfortably.
It took 12 years of extremely poor, selfish choices to put me into a large XL XXL XXXL XXXXL shirt. It only took 26 weeks to roll it all back.
That’s something to smile about.

Nice baby blue polo! Looks like a dressing room, did you end up buying it??
It’s Belk. And no, I can’t afford Ralph Lauren.
That is well worth a great smile — keep it up!
Wow, all the way down to a large, that amazing
Congratulations, what a wonderful feeling that is!
That’s pretty awesome! Congrats.
I’m starting my own weight loss journey — my next short-term goal is to rollback a pants size comfortably. But I’ll be ecstatic when I can fit into a large!
Good luck on your journey!
Congrats! Remember that feeling when it’s hard to press on w/ the weight loss!
Nice cheesy grin, Tyler! Well on your way to medium, I’d say – that large doesn’t look snug at all. Keep it up!
Great job! Congratulations!
YAY, I am just glad you are smiling for once. That is amazing, I was the same way, I have lost 65lbs and have kept it off for a few years and have about 20 more to go until I am completely satisifed but I remember going from a females 2x to a L and now I can wear mediums!!! Anyway KUDOS!!!!
Congratulations!
YAY!!!!!!!! A smile, finally :) And nice shirt by the way.
Thank God for the smile!!!! It’s about time. And WOW you look completely different.
This is my absolute favorite pic of the new you. You are smiling!! And you look like a guy who has never had a weight issue. Love it. So great. Congratulations Tyler.
I agree: finally, a smile! :) But you’re right, that is definitely something to smile about! And seriously, that shirt doesn’t look too tight at all!
Congrats!
HE’S SMILING, EVERYONE! I LOVE IT!
You. Look. Amazing.
Nice to see you smile!
Awesome
Tyler thats awesome congratulations I really wish I was in your shoes. I cant seem to go 3 days without falling off the wagon again. its so frustrating. I really wish I had your will power
It’s not a matter of will power. It’s a matter of just doing it. There are plenty of days I don’t have motivation or the will to get up. I just do. JUST GET UP!
It’s so wonderful to see you smile. Congratulations on your weight loss. You look great!! I am amazed by how consistant you are with your workouts. You never seem to miss a day. I wish to acieve that goal too.
Wow. Congrats!!!
I only wish for the day I can fit into a large again. No more XXXLs, please. :|
For some reason dieting and exercise alone are not working as well for me… I don’t seem to be losing anything! DOH! Not sure what else to try.
You can do it, Brandon. Diet and exercise alone are enough — you can lose weight. How much weight are you losing right now? You’re not gaining, are you?
Love your blog. You have given me the motivation to start my own. Thanks.
You’re grinning! A smile takes off a couple more pounds, you know.
Seriously: it’s clear you’re feeling marvelous. Congratulations.
Wow, Tyler – I don’t know what’s more amazing: The success and results you’ve worked so hard to achieve, or all the love and support I read in the comments above me! You da’ bomb, lol.
Congrats pal!
Tyler, I am so happy for you! I’ve been lurking for a while, and I just wanted to say good job on all the hard work.
Congratulations – all that in 26 weeks – its pretty amazing! ;o)
It still blows my mind. It all happened so fast.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll probably say it again. You look awesome. And you are a total inspiration to me.
You cheated on the smiling by making it blurry! Congratulations on another milestone though.
There’s a lot of people to reply to. I just want to say THANK YOU to everybody for the kind comments.
You look happy about all the weight loss- and you should!
Amazing job. I’m so happy for you.
My husband is on the weight loss train right now and yes- the key has been exercise.
If you could lose over 100 lbs, he could do 35-40.
Love your site- you are upfront and truthful that it is not easy but that all your hard work has been so worth it. We wish you many years of good health. Congratulations on getting into the L shirt!
hey tyler…
im eric and ive lost 70 pounds in like 3 months or so..roughly going on 4 and…
i just want to say ur my inspiration to workout and diet
but i was wondering if u can do a blog about gastric bypass
like ur opinion on it and stuff because with u losing 100+ pounds by diet and excercise its kinda shining a light saying surgery is not always needed jus a little hard work
Great job! The shirt looks like it fits fine. Maybe you’re just not used to wearing “form-fitting” clothing! Wonderful
Woo hoo! I am SO happy for you! You look GREAT!!! :)
Yes!!! A smile! That’s exactly what I wanted to see in your after pictures! You look soooo unhappy in your main page pic, maybe from working out really hard, so it’s great to see that you really are proud of yourself. Keep it up, you’ve certainly inspired me!
You are amazing – and I can only imagine what a great feeling that is. I’m looking forward to it myself. As a woman, I’m particularly motivated to no longer need to shop at “Plus Size” stores ever again!
