I lost nearly 150 pounds by counting calories. I once weighed 344.2 pounds, now around 200. My story has been told on CNN, CBS, and Newsweek and will soon be in a book.

Here's a tip for adding fruit to your diet... I'm like you, I hate fruits and vegetables. Well, I hated them at least. I've recently had great success adding milk and bananas to my diet. Both foods that I couldn't stand.

How did I do it? In each case, I started with the ingredient by itself. And slowly, everyday, I would eat as much as I could stand. With a banana, that was about a fourth of one, on the first day--which is a couple of bites. I ate it slowly and stopped as soon as I felt like it. I took time to smell it too. The whole point was just to get used to the smell, taste and texture. Surprisingly, each day I could stand a little bit more. And after a week or two, I could finish off a whole banana. Now, I love and look forward to both bananas and milk. It really works.

Another tip for fruits is to think of them as candy. Almost every non-chocolate candy is based off fruit flavors. Go grab the actual fruit of your favorite candy flavors, and you'll be surprised how much it tastes like candy. Raspberries are a great example. They're small and bite-sized.

Just a suggestion, how about some diet soda instead of regular soda?
