I’m completely moved into the new house. My office is unpacked. Time Warner Cable just installed my internet. I joined a new gym last night.
We’ve got some work to do.

September 02 weight: 233.6
August 26 weight: 232.8
August 19 weight: 233.2
August 12 weight: 233.6
August 05 weight: 234.4
I’ve gained 0.8 pounds in the last 7 days and lost 110.6 pounds in 32 weeks. Want stats from past weeks? Check out my entire 32 week weight loss progress.
I stepped onto the scale for the first time today since last Wednesday and wasn’t shocked — I knew week 32 would be a gain. I’m not upset, though, I’m just angry, pumped, and determined. There’s one undeniable fact:
I’m going to weigh under 200 pounds by Christmas.
Unless I have some other unforeseen life changing event this year like having another child (no, that’s not an announcement) or moving again, I’ll be back dropping pounds every Wednesday and posting every other day like before.
We’re done having kids for now. We don’t have anymore vacations planned and we’re done moving. It’s time for the excuses to stop and for me to decide once and for all to lose this extra weight that is pressing down on my heart.
I had a tough night at the gym, I’m going to bed.
I’ll see you Friday.

So did you go for Golds or the Y? Let me know! Ill be at Y next week :)
Gold’s, it’s closer to where I live!
You WILL do it.
Thanks, I know I’ll try.
Keep your head up. Know that you’ve inspired a lot of people. I’ve started my own weight loss journey and knowing that you’re doing the same helps keep me on track. I’ve already lost 10 pounds in the first week. Thanks for putting yourself out there and showing others what they can do if they just believe in themselves.
Welcome back.
Remember that your ultimate goal was to be healthier, not to “diet and exercise”. So in considering your progress these past 2 weeks, ask yourself what you would have been doing and what you would have been eating back when you weighed 344 pounds.
I can guarantee you it wouldn’t have been just a .8 gain.
I’m on day 52 now thanks to your example. Keep it up.
Dude, I’m totally digging the new French Countryside video backdrop. Bungalow? Looks more like Chateau to me, man. Sweet! And the delicate flower-print boxers were a nice touch.
I’ve lost two of the eight cruise pounds I gained after being sick for over a week – ugh. Just back to the gym today, all weak like a kitten. Then I puked. Good to be back, lol.
Down to 222 though. We’re going to be neck-and-neck racing to break 200 by years’ end. Perhaps a wager would make things more interesting . . .
I like the new backdrop, too. It’s my office in the new house, it’s lovely.
And I think you’ll beat me, so no wager thanks.
You inspired me to start my own fitness blog! :) I’m stoked for you that you only gained .8. Hell when I get off track I’m liable to see a 5 pound gain in one week. You’re doing great, cheers to a new week and refocused efforts!
I’ll make sure to keep reading your blog!
You and I now weigh the same. I fluctuated between 229 and 232 for some time now. My new goal is to stay with you. Hopefully I will as I know you have the push to do it. I hope I can just keep up with you!
You can try! I’m sure you will, though, just stick with it.
My new strategy
Dance Dance Revolution Universe!
Yeah, it’s a pretty lame game with a lot of horrid music, but some of it is ok, and it’s actually kind of fun. Plus, if the calorie counting algorithm is accurate, you burn off ridiculous calories in no time. After I DDR for an hour or two, I head to the gym for a regular work out. The combo seems to be working, because I’ve actually gotten past the 240 hurdle I couldn’t get over for weeks and I’m now down to where you are!
Don’t give up but don’t work too hard! Try adding in something totally new and different for a half hour before you work out and see if the additional work helps!
I used to have DDR, but I sold it. I have a new toy though to play with at my gym: stairmaster!
Go for it, Tyler! Now that the move is all done, and distractions are minimized, there’s nothing stopping you! I know you’ll make your goal by Christmas. And don’t forget to be proud of all you’ve accomplished. 110 POUNDS IN LESS THAN ONE YEAR, man. That’s awesome!
