49th weigh-in, third scale. If this scale stops working on me, I’ll take it as a sign and stop trying to lose weight. Not really, but after you see the gain this week you won’t blame the old scale for quitting.
December 30 weight: 218.8
December 23 weight: N/A (Broke Scale)
December 16 weight: 212.6

I’ve gained 6.2 pounds in the last 14 days and lost 125.4 pounds in 49 weeks. Want stats from past weeks? Check out my entire 49 week weight loss progress.
I like to be dramatic. While others only post 2-3 pound gains after Christmas, I think that’s for rookies — I wanted to go all out and gain 6+ pounds.
I’m not upset, discouraged, or even frustrated.
I’ll take the gain like a big boy. It’s no secret that I’m on vacation and not eating and exercising how I should. With that being said, I have another few days left of vacation (ending on the 4th) and I still plan on going out with a bang (read: eating/drinking) on New Years. This will be my last vacation for at least a few months and I plan on enjoying the rest of it.
After the 4th though, I’m going to show you the meaning of hardcore.
And if you haven’t already, let me know how much you gained this past week.
I’m enjoying the holidays. I’ve seen more family over the last four days than I have seen in the past four months. I’ve also seen a lot more food though, unfortunately, the last four days than I have seen in the last four months.
Today, we’re entering the halfway point of the Christmas/New Years holiday.
My diet should be fairly clean and my workout schedule should stay somewhat intact the first few days of this week as I have to work. After Wednesday, my routine is shattered and I have another long weekend full of very little treadmill, very little basketball, and a lot of junk food.
We’ll start “hardcore” again on Monday, January 4th.
I have my own New Years resolutions for 2010. I might have lost 130 pounds in 2009, but I still have a lot of things I want to accomplish, especially when it comes to my body and how I’d like to keep transforming. I’m making a list, which I’ll share this Friday, New Years Day. Get your list ready as well, as I want to know what everyone else has in store for 2010.
In the meantime, how was your Christmas? Get lots of toys? Lots of food?
I’ve posted my weight here regularly for the past 47 weeks. Until this week.
The new scale I bought just a few months ago broke this morning. Unlike last time, this scale broke without enough time for me to replace it. So, I don’t know what I weigh and weight for week 48 will not be recorded in the record books.
I’m going to be shopping (any suggestions?) over the next few days to find a new scale for week 49. Until then, though, I’m not going to leave you empty handed today. We all came here for our weekly weigh-in and that’s exactly what I’m going to send you away with.
It’s been a week since I first weighed myself at a thundering 344.2 pounds. As I said before, I’ll keep weighing myself every Wednesday morning and update here with my findings.
Drum roll, please…
Jan 21 weight: 344.2 Jan 28 weight: 338.2
I lost exactly 6 pounds in one week. Absolutely phenomenal.
I’ve never done before and after shots when undertaking a new diet, but I want to this time — since it’s the last. Unfortunately, I didn’t take a picture/video of myself when I first started my new lifestyle on the 15th, so the 28th will have to be my starting point.
I’ll post on every Wednesday, the same day as weigh-in, for the duration of this charade.
That was my very first weigh-in. I could’ve never imagined the path that would lead from week 1 to 48 and that those 6 pounds would be the first out of 131 that would fall. I could have never imagined.
