Click. Click. Boom.

March 31 weight: 203
March 24 weight: 206
March 17 weight: 207.8
March 10 weight: 212.4
March 3 weight: 214.8

I’ve lost 3 pounds in the last week and 141.2 pounds in 62 weeks. Want previous stats? Check out my entire 62 week weight loss progress.

Oh, I forgot to take my shirt off this week. Kidding.

I’m keeping my shirt on for the foreseeable future (stop applauding, that hurts). I’m untanned and have loose skin — that hasn’t changed since we started. So, for now no more weekly updates without a shirt.

Something that has changed, however, are those muscles you are starting to see protruding from underneath my shirt. They’re new. I’m proud of those little tanks. I call the left one Walker and the right Texas Ranger.

They’re a work in progress, but we’ve got to start somewhere.

The numbers for March were impressive, but the next couple of weeks will be tough. I’ve obviously been on a good rhythm the last few weeks due to very little break in routine, but with Easter coming up Sunday (and the massive southern meals that accompany it) and my sister’s wedding slash family reunion the next (smorgasbord) the next two weeks will require willpower, as well as my “JUST SAY NO TO SWEET TEA!” t-shirt.

I’d love to hit 199 pounds next week, but I just don’t think it’s practical.

We’ll see, though. Regardless, I think April will be the month.

I’m lacking the words today.

My wife and daughter were sick all last week.  Just as they get better toward the end of the week, I get sick with some hybrid of the flu.  I miss my big 10k and feel terrible all weekend.  I’ve been so unproductive.  Luckily, I  quickly rebounded in enough time for the Monday morning grind.

Lucky me.

I’m pushing hard toward 199 pounds.  I’m eating around 2,000 calories a day and working out between 8:30-9:30 every night — no variety.  I’m doing a mix between cardio and weight training.  I’m starting to build muscles and I like what I’m seeing — nothing is changing anytime soon.

I have a lot of fantastic new posts lined up, this just isn’t one of them.  Over the next few days I have to prepare my taxes and wrap up a couple of big projects at the house, but after that my schedule is free for the rest of the Spring (minus the weekends).  I’m traveling this weekend for Easter, my daughter is going to have her first Easter Egg hunt.

She’s growing up so fast.

What are you pushing toward?

To say that I’m disappointed would be an understatement.

I’ve felt terrible the last 24 hours, starting with a low-grade fever and cold sweat around lunch Friday.  By the time I got home Friday after work I still had a fever and cold sweat, but also muscle aches and a migraine.

I knew I wasn’t going to be able to participate in the Bridge Run.

I fell asleep shortly after I got home and took some medicine, finally waking back up around 10 PM in the same condition I was when I went to sleep.  I called my mother to let her know that I wouldn’t be seeing her this weekend (we had big family plans to go to dinner Saturday night).

She was disappointed, naturally.

I regretfully don’t come home too often because of my busy schedule (blog/baby/work).  Even worse she had already picked up my packet on Thursday, standing in line for about an hour to get my Bridge Run bib (#41143), t-shirt, and various literature regarding the race.

I still need to call a few other friends and family members to let them know I won’t be coming back home to Charleston this weekend.  It’s sad.

I also need to apologize to PapayaHead, who paid for the entry fee and motel room (both wasted).  They are wonderful with the support they provide me — they even sent me an awesome t-shirt I could race with:

I have another race (5k) coming up in Charleston on April 24th and I’ll make sure I won’t let my friends, family, or sponsors down again.  I’ll post details about this race soon, but for now, I’m going back to bed.

Have a great weekend.
