Week 62: Weigh-in Results

March 31, 2010

Click. Click. Boom.

March 31 weight: 203
March 24 weight: 206
March 17 weight: 207.8
March 10 weight: 212.4
March 3 weight: 214.8

I’ve lost 3 pounds in the last week and 141.2 pounds in 62 weeks. Want previous stats? Check out my entire 62 week weight loss progress.

Oh, I forgot to take my shirt off this week. Kidding.

I’m keeping my shirt on for the foreseeable future (stop applauding, that hurts). I’m untanned and have loose skin — that hasn’t changed since we started. So, for now no more weekly updates without a shirt.

Something that has changed, however, are those muscles you are starting to see protruding from underneath my shirt. They’re new. I’m proud of those little tanks. I call the left one Walker and the right Texas Ranger.

They’re a work in progress, but we’ve got to start somewhere.

The numbers for March were impressive, but the next couple of weeks will be tough. I’ve obviously been on a good rhythm the last few weeks due to very little break in routine, but with Easter coming up Sunday (and the massive southern meals that accompany it) and my sister’s wedding slash family reunion the next (smorgasbord) the next two weeks will require willpower, as well as my “JUST SAY NO TO SWEET TEA!” t-shirt.

I’d love to hit 199 pounds next week, but I just don’t think it’s practical.

We’ll see, though. Regardless, I think April will be the month.

You’re such a rock star.

Love you to pieces. :)

Tara March 31, 2010 at 7:30 AM

Oh Tank, how I love thee.
Just say not to sweet tea!
199 is so very near.
I can’t wait for you to say, it’s here.
Such an inspiration you are.
You’re my favorite rockstar!

Okay so maybe I shouldn’t give up my day job to make rhymes, but you get the picture!

Walker and Texas Ranger are looking pretty good!!

It’s hard to believe that the man in the first weigh in is you. But it is and that’s why I’m doing what I’m doing. I want someone to look back and say “WHA? That’s Tara? No way!!!” I want to be the first person to look back and say that. Then I’m going to point to you and say “Blame him”!!!!

xoxo

199 is just around the corner! Way to go! you are such an inspiration!

Kyle March 31, 2010 at 8:02 AM

Wow, another 3lb loss: fantastic! I completely forgot about Easter coming up too. I’ve been on a roll myself this past few weeks, and this will be a good test for me as well. We can do it!

You must me so excited/anxious/nervous about being so close to seeing a “1″ as the first number of your weight…I can’t wait until I get there myself!

Yaaaaaaay! Great job! Rooting for you!!!! :)

And puh-lease, you can totally pull off 199 by next week. I’m sure the weather is going to be ridiculously beautiful – you should try running outside (which btw is waay different from the treadmill).

Woo!

Cat March 31, 2010 at 9:27 AM

Woohoo!!

What is sweet tea????

Denise March 31, 2010 at 9:30 AM

So great, Tyler! SO close!! I know how tempting it is to try to hit a number–to push a little harder to get there. But you’re doing it the healthy way. Keep up the great work, man!

Tori March 31, 2010 at 10:10 AM

Walker and Texas Ranger are looking pretty awesome!!

k8 March 31, 2010 at 10:13 AM

wait… i don’t understand why you’re keeping your shirt on for the foreseeable future?

Tyler March 31, 2010 at 11:24 AM

Because my belly looks blah.

Tara March 31, 2010 at 12:09 PM

Don’t get shy on us now Tank cause that 203 rockin belly is not a 344 pound belly…if I had your weight loss (which I will) I’d be naked all the time.

I’d get arrested for indecent exposure (I better get some duct tape) but I’d be screaming the entire time: I LOST OVER 100 POUNDS!!!

k8 March 31, 2010 at 12:14 PM

didn’t your belly look blah last week? if you’re dissatisfied with the way it looks, you should have surgery to remove the extra skin (after waiting for six months of maintenance).

Diane March 31, 2010 at 6:52 PM

K8, I have to agree with you. Tyler, I don’t understand why you’d suddenly become self-conscious at this point in your journey.

Marc March 31, 2010 at 10:35 AM

Fantastic progress! I do think you should keep the shirtless videos though, for those of us going through something similar, it’s good to see what we might expect. Additionally, someday you could string them all together in a video on fast forward just to watch all the weight spin away. Great work.

Chad March 31, 2010 at 10:36 AM

Great job, Tyler! Enjoy the Easter weekend, and you’ll be leaving the 200′s behind in no time!

Michelle March 31, 2010 at 11:37 AM

Congratulations on the success Tyler!!

Ashley March 31, 2010 at 11:38 AM

KEEP IT UP!!!!! GO GO GO GO GO!!!!!! if there is anything reason to push like crazy its now lol!!

Tina March 31, 2010 at 11:46 AM

Aww, I like the shirt off :) It shows us that you have worked hard, and lost a lot and that it’s ok to have loose skin! BUT if this makes you happy I guess it’s ok… lol!
You look great, You are awesome.

Christine March 31, 2010 at 1:45 PM

You are so close Tyler. You can do it!!!!!! Eyes on the prize!!! For those days when you know you’ll be tempted eat a good filling breakfast, chew lots of gum and if you know you’ll have a hard time finding something sensible to snack on while out celebrating bring stuff with you!! Baby Carrots fruit are very totable!! GOOD LUCK!! Cheering you on!!!! Look forward to next weeks weigh in.

Matt March 31, 2010 at 8:34 PM

You should wear one of your underarmour compression shirts rather than a loose t-shirt.

Molly March 31, 2010 at 10:09 PM

Im waiting for the day that I see 199 on my scale too! Keep working hard, I love reading your blogs.

J.B. Vadeboncoeur April 1, 2010 at 2:03 AM

Best luck with all the family challenges. I am envisioning you so engrossed in meaningful conversations that you forget to eat some of the time. XD

Diane April 1, 2010 at 9:34 AM

J.B., which meaning conversations are you referring? And with whom?
