Congratulations Tyler! I’ve been following your blog ever since it was posted on Consumerist and I’m so happy that you’ve finally reached this milestone. :)
Congratulations. I have been following your story for a few weeks now and am very motivated by your reasons. I have my main motivation for losing weight for health reasons, I want to live longer.
I am happy you broke that 200 barrier, it will motivate me as well. That is my goal as well and I hope to achieve that one day. Since starting in November I have lost 42 pounds and have 45 left to go.
Thank you for shedding light on the way to keep going. Have a super day!
You did it, you did it, you really really did it!
You did it, you did it, you really really did it!

YYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAYyyyyyyyy!!!!!11111111111111oneoneone
Tyler: This is an impressive accomplishment. Even more so considering the recent loss of your father. Great job and stay the course! Look forward to you joining me for a marathon someday. Cheers!
You are such an inspiration Tyler. Thank you for being “out there” for us. People don’t need diet books, they just need to “do it” like you did, and put it out in the world for all to see. You deserve 200% of whatever comes your way. But this is just step 1 my friend. You know what you have to do next….
Congratulations! Do you watch the Biggest Loser? If so, I think of you when Darius is on the show. I think he started about the same weight as you. You are further along than him right now. He is young and has the world ahead of him. Again congratulations!
I too have been a lurker since I started watching my friend Tara work her buns off from your inspiration…which has inspired me! I’ve started my journey because of your contagious energy. I’m thrilled for you Tyler. FYI – love the term “onederland”….can’t wait to join you there!
Awesome!!!! Next, create a couple framed wall-sized posters of that bad-ass picture and put them wherever you need to remind yourself that this just the beginning!
Great work! You got there by what we Finns call “sisu”! (Meaning something like sustained tenacity/fortitude/perseverance/guts.)
(Wikipedia is far too often a fount of misinformation, discrepancies, and distortions for me to refer often to it, but having said that, the opening description of the Finnish concept of “sisu” presently there is decent, and at least more thorough than mine:
“Sisu is a Finnish term loosely translated into English as strength of will, determination, perseverance, and acting rationally in the face of adversity. However, the word is widely considered to lack a proper translation into any language. Sisu has been described as being integral to understanding Finnish culture. The literal meaning is equivalent in English to “having guts”, and the word derives from sisus, which means something inner or interior. However sisu is defined by a long-term element in it; it is not momentary courage, but the ability to sustain an action against the odds. Deciding on a course of action and the sticking to that decision against repeated failures is sisu. The noun sisu is related to the adjective sisukas, one having the quality of sisu.”)
I’ve been following your blog since the consumerist post. I’ve completed a body transformation of my own in that time ( -70 lbs) and am amazed by your spirit and your dedication to your goals. I’m looking forward to taking the next step with you as we work to build more muscle.
Boom goes the dynamite ! For some reason that phrase came to mind when I click on your site today and saw this post – maybe it’s because you are exploding right through the challenges we all face when it come to weight loss.
Congratulations on this HUGE accomplishment. I’m so proud of you – thank you for the continued inspiration you give us all!
Someone may have made this comment already (didn’t have a chance to read them for this post or the weigh-in post with more than just a picture), but I love the effect of the flash. It’s like a visual choir singing “ahhhhh”. A little late (been reading your blog from the beginning), but congratulations!
