Body Transformation – Update 150

December 28, 2011

Week 150 — the third year of this journey will soon be coming to an end.  My promise to you is that the fourth year will bring more progress than any previous year.

Today’s Weight:
199.2 pounds – down 0.4 pound(s) from last Wednesday

Today’s Body Fat Percentage: Still coming.

Average Daily Calories for the Last 7 Days: 2,200

Most Calories in One Meal:  It’d be a disservice to give the prize to any one meal, but the most calories in one day would have to go to Christmas.  I grazed throughout the day on a handful of sweets and had a big meal in the middle with turkey, mashed potatoes, and green bean casserole.  Still no sugar drinks: all water, all the time.  I probably had 500 extra calories on Sunday compared to most days.

I’ve now completed 23 days without sugar drinks — no soda, juice, or sweet tea.

Most Calories Burned in One Session:  Yesterday (abs and cardio day) thanks to the 30-minutes of intense CrossRamp action, plus planks, crunches, ab twists, hanging leg raises, and a battle with the ab wheel.  I did a little bit more than I normally do for abs, but I felt like pushing myself farther yesterday to redeem myself for Christmas.

Calories burned?  As a complete guess, probably something like 700 in 75 minutes.

Most Repeated Workout Song: Jay-Z/Kanye West – No Church in the Wild

Today, it’s time for a little blunt honesty:

My progress would be much further along at this point if I would’ve practiced more self-control.  I made too many poor decisions over the last few years of this journey, namely on the weekends.  It’s fine to be a little bit less strict on the weekends, even the best of us are, but it’s another thing entirely to eat an extra 1,000-2,000 extra calories on Saturday and Sunday (each day).   I did this way too often over the first 145 weeks.

I wasn’t negating the progress I made Monday through Friday, but it was certainly hindering it.  I stopped this destructive pattern around the end of November, around the same time I quit soda completely.  I’m still moderating foods and watching my calories, just like I always have, I’m just not wrecking it all on the weekends.

I’ve noticed tremendous changes in just five weeks.

I’m not sure if the changes are visible in the pictures as of yet, but they will be.  I promise you that 2012 will bring an amazing transformation.

Don’t ever look back; only forward.
