KP stands for Kevin Plank, the billionaire who created one of my favorite company, Under Armour. I got this e-mail a few nights ago (around midnight, no less) after sending over my size and mailing address to him earlier in the day, as requested.
Yesterday I got home to a box waiting outside my front door. Inside was this:
In addition to the roughly $250 worth of UA gear (shoes, pants, jacket, and gym bag), KP also included a letter personally written and signed by him.
It’s all a little surreal. It’s so flattering when companies that I already love make an effort to support me and what I’m doing (here’s looking at you, MyFitnessPal). I wear Under Armour clothing on a daily basis and have since I started losing weight.
After today, I don’t think that’ll be changing.
