How to Stay on Track While on Vacation
Want to lose weight? My story has been featured on CBS' The Doctors, CNN, and The Huffington Post. Learn how I lost over 125 pounds (100lbs in 6 months!) by clicking here.
No. Please, no.
Unless you take seven vacations a year, enjoy the two or three times a year you get off work to take a cruise or go to the beach or mountains.

If you and I were on the same cruise and I saw you logging calories into your smartphone, I’d steal your phone and throw it into the ocean. It’d be like the ending of the movie Titantic all over again, minus the diamond.
Losing weight and keeping it off is a never-ending journey. It’s something you’ll have to focus on for the rest of your life. If you gain a few pounds on vacation, so what? You’ll lose it all again shortly after you get back.
Two realistic guidelines for you while you’re on vacation:
- Avoid gluttony. You do not need 6 cups of butter with crab legs.
- Be active. Walk on the beach, swim laps on the cruise ship, go to the gym even. I know a lot of folks look forward to the gym.
That’s it. I cannot stand fluff pieces in magazines, e.g., “Top 7 Tricks for Keeping Your Beach Bod…While at the Beach!”
Please. Get that crap out of here.
