Meal Frequency (How Often You Should Eat)
Want to lose weight? My story has been featured on CBS' The Doctors, CNN, and The Huffington Post. Learn how I lost over 125 pounds (100lbs in 6 months!) by clicking here.
Here’s a guideline for eating: eat when you’re hungry.
Try to have self-control. Don’t eat when you’re bored or because it’s “time to eat.” Don’t eat because you’re tired or cranky or you’re doing something that you normally associate with food (like watching a movie).
Eat when you’re hungry and try to limit your portions.
Your body, in terms of weight loss, doesn’t care at the end of the week how often you ate — it cares how much. I’ve been introduced to countless people who have lost weight and there were a variety of meal schedules:
- Three square meals a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
- 5-6 smaller meals (spaced 2-3 hours apart)
- Intermittent fasting (eating only in a window of a few hours a day)
Choose what works with your lifestyle. As long as your calorie deficit at the end of the day is in tact, you’ll lose weight.
