Giving Up

Want to lose weight? My story has been featured on CBS' The Doctors, CNN, and The Huffington Post. Learn how I lost over 125 pounds (100lbs in 6 months!) by clicking here.

I appreciate the several people who have contributed over the last couple of days.

It means a lot to pour my heart out over the last few years and get something back, whether it be a monetary contribution to help support the blog, or one of the many e-mails detailing how I’ve changed people’s lives since starting 344 Pounds in 2009.

Everyone who has e-mailed or given (or e-mails and/or gives in the future) will be sure to get a personal reply from me within a week or two, as well as a direct invitation to contact me in the future with any questions or concerns.

In lieu of a week 186′s weigh-in today, here’s an e-mail that needs a reply:

Hey Tank,

I read your most recent post and I really wanted to take the time to say Thanks. Like Christen in the last post, I found your website to be a saving grace for me.

When I figured out I wanted to lose weight, first thing I did was Google weight loss stories and BOOM you popped up. That’s actually really neat — think of how many people see that on Google.  Anyway, I haven’t been blogging lately or really gung-ho about weight loss but I see your Facebook posts, tweets and emails and it always gives me that little kick in the butt to keep going.

That’s why I love you, you will not give up.

You set a goal and want to achieve it. I have a goal. I want to achieve it, yet it has taken me longer than I thought to get there. I have learned so much about myself along the way and it has helped better me. I have only lost about 40 some pounds, but damn has it made a difference. But I will not give up. I think that ones of the best things you get across in your blog posts. Don’t ever give up. Keep going, even by taking baby steps you will be better than you were the day before.

I can honestly say that this blog changed my life. Thank you for being brave enough to take the steps to change your life, so then you could in turn help change numerous lives down the road.

Forever Grateful,
Molly Nitka aka Fluffygirl

Molly, go check your e-mail — your reply is in your inbox.  Thanks for reading and supporting me, as well as 344 Pounds — it means more than you’ll ever know.
