Routine
Want to lose weight? My story has been featured on CBS' The Doctors, CNN, and The Huffington Post. Learn how I lost over 125 pounds (100lbs in 6 months!) by clicking here.
Are you excited about losing weight and getting that six pack for the beach next year? Of course! Are you excited about hitting the gym at 5 and counting calories?
I doubt it.
To quote one of my favorite movies of all time: “That’s all it takes really, pressure, and time.” Red was talking about escaping prison, but the message still resonates.
Weight loss revolves around a routine. Maintaining said weight loss revolves around a routine, as well. On most days, burning calories and practicing portion control are and always will be boring and uneventful. They both just need to be included in your daily routine, much like taking a shower or going to work.
While it’s fun and exciting to lose 50 pounds, get a clean bill of health, buy new (smaller) clothes, receive compliments from friends/family, etc., the daily grind to actually accomplish all of this is not. It’s nothing but boring, hard work.
But it’s worth it.
