Water Weight
7.2 pounds lost since last weigh-in.
Obviously, this kind of drastic weight loss won’t continue — most of it’s water weight. Most of it can be attributed to counting calories, not burning calories, going from probably 4,000 or so calories a day to around 2,000.
It can also be attributed to consuming a lot less sodium.
I’ve yet to start working out again. I miss “gym workouts.” I’m burning calories (swimming, playing with the kids, etc.), but I miss burning calories at the gym. I miss the quiet, prolonged exercise sessions when it’s just me and an elliptical. It’d not only help ensure my weight loss continues, but it’s always been a great way to relieve stress.
“Me” time is hard to come by now, with two kids, a nearly full-term pregnant wife, and hobbies. I’ve got to make working out, consistently, regularly, part of my “me” time too if I want to be successful.
Softball
I signed up for men’s adult softball — starts in September. That’s part of my “hobbies.” I figured if the third kid doesn’t give me enough to do, I can always leave a night a week and go play some ball. I’m extremely competitive — there’s absolutely no better way to entice me to get in shape than to get my ass kicked by a bunch of guys who are in shape.
