I’m eating 200 grams of protein a day, trying to get a lot of fiber, and generally sticking to around 2,000 calories a day. I drink nothing but water except for the occasional cup or two of 1% milk.
It’s boring. But hear this: boring food makes for exciting bodies.
As far as last weekend, it’s forgotten. Done. What I did last weekend just doesn’t matter anymore. All that matters is what I’m about to do.
I’m about to go to the gym.

Two things.
One, not so important: I stole this week’s opening line from the movie Twister, copyrighted Warner Bros. and Universal Studios. Just thought I’d throw that in there, I know the movie/music industry is suing everyone these days; I’d rather not go to jail and miss Deadliest Catch.
Secondly, and of actual importance (to my mother and maybe three other people), I’ll be officially weighing in again on August 4th. I originally had my next weigh-in date set for July 28th, then I realized that’s two days after my birthday and two days before my anniversary. We’ll probably be on vacation that week, celebrating the start of the week as I turn 25 and finish it by being married for 5 years.
Cheaper insurance on Monday (26th) and 5 years of marriage by Friday (30th). I might even get my wife a present for this anniversary.
Lawsuits, weigh-ins, and cheaper insurance aside, I’m still working out 4-5 days a week. My diet is really sloppy right now, as are the diets of most folks right before/during a holiday. It’s fine though. It’s just a few days. I’m not going overboard, I’m just at the rail. Come next Tuesday, I might even start counting calories again for a short while to regain focus.
