I just found this website. What is it?
This website, 344Pounds.com, is a weight loss blog that I started in 2009. The name is derived from my starting weight of 344.2 pounds. It started innocently enough — I posted updates on my weight loss progress, talked about how I was losing weight, what I was eating, that kind of thing. Eventually, the blog found a following. After a few months, I had hundreds of people watching my journey.
By January of 2010, one year later, I had well over 50,000.
Today, the blog has well over 600+ blog posts and follows my entire journey as I lost 125+ pounds. It’s been featured on CNN, CBS, Newsweek, and The Globe.
How did you lose weight?
I lost weight by counting calories, not by following a fad diet or gimmick. I consider counting calories and practicing portion control to be the best way to lose weight.
